Casco Viejo (Old Town)

Morning – afternoon visit, takes around 3 hours
- Start at the Mercado Central to browse, sample and buy foods – 1 hour. Best to be there by 11.am.
- Then on to the Museo Nacional de Ceramica – 1 hour
- Stop at the Cafe de Las Horas for an agua de Valencia or drink – 30 mins or as time allows. And you may need to queue to be seated.

Afternoon visit, takes approx 2 hours
- Start at the Museo Nacional de Ceramica – 1 hour
- Stop for an Horchata or Ice-cream at Horchateria de Santa Catalina the oldest in Valencia – 30 mins or as time allows. And you may need to queue to be seated.
- Then a walk through Turia to enjoy the ambience of this grand park that runs through the city centre.
City of Arts & Sciences

Budget visit, takes around 2.5 hours
- Start at the Museo Fallero, which shares the history and statues of Fallas – 1 hour
- Cross over to the City of Arts and Sciences for a wander around this vast, aesthetically interesting place – 1 hour

Visits can easily last a good 2 hours to half a day, depending on where you choose.

Shopping
If shopping is your thing, you have 2 commercial shopping centres, El Saler, and Aqua, across the road, on both sides of the City of Arts and Sciences.
